Passo di Vizze (Pfitscher Joch) is one of the wildest and most scenic climbs in South Tyrol, connecting the Vizze valley (Pfitschertal) with the Austrian side of the Zillertal. The ascent, which starts from Vipiteno (Sterzing, 948 m), climbs for about 30 kilometres up a closed, green glacial valley, with a total elevation gain of more than 1,500 metres to reach the 2,248-metre pass, right on the Italian–Austrian border.
