Rund um den Wannsee (short) CLONED FROM ROUTE 690097

IMHO the most beautiful ride in the Berlin area; roads are almost always quiet or have a good bike path (exceptions below). It can be easily ridden with a road bike and is also a feast for the eyes... Alternatively, you can add the Havelchaussee and/or Teufelsberg at the end.

Tips: Königstr.: Best to avoid both the bike path and the contact with angry Potsdam drivers on the way home; if you turn right after the light changes and start fast (35+ km/h), you can cover those few meters before the next wave of cars. Neuer Garten: Right at the beginning there is a gravel bed; on the left side there is a road-bike-friendly path across the grass. Heerstraße: The bike path is really bad, but unfortunately many drivers still haven't realised that the 80 km/h speed limit on Heerstraße hasn't been valid for many years (in some places currently even 30 km/h!) and drive accordingly. The road is not for the faint-hearted. UPDATE: the route dates back to when there was no 'street sequence' option. When updating, I also optimized it: now the passage through Neuer Garten is (again) allowed and the path from Moorlake to the Glienicker Bridge is fully paved. In addition, at Löwentor in Wannsee there is a nice new road with a few additional elevation meters.
