About this route
By train to Würzburg, then shortcut to the Main, often bike path next to the road.
Very nice bike path along the Main, however, in my opinion the bike path from Schweinfurt to Würzburg is more scenic. Definitely stop by the Vogelsburg near Escherndorf.
On the tour, you have to switch sides of the Main often; if you're not paying attention, you can miss it like I did. The paths then turn into trails; with the MTB, no problem, but my wife might have killed me for that.
