Saale-Ilm-Saale-Tour

To get from the Saale valley to the Ilm, a continuous climb of about 7 km must be tackled. From Nerkewitz to Stobra there is an unpaved path (not suitable in rain). From Stobra, one basically rides on paved paths with partial use of the main road (country roads or local connecting roads). From Utenbach to Wickerstedt you can go via Apolda or via an unpaved path (not suitable in rain). Once the Ilm cycle path is reached, follow it to Großheringen. Here you switch to the Saale cycle path. The round trip requires moderate fitness. Not suitable for first rides after winter. :)
