Oderwald-Harly-Okerlauf

The circular route starts in Kissenbrück, leads over Ohrum into the Oderwald forest. Here it primarily follows gravel and farm paths through the woods until reaching the vicinity of Werlaburgdorf. The tour then continues over Altenrode, Gielde, and Lüderode toward Neuenkirchen. Here, there's a short stretch on a confusing and heavily trafficked road toward Schladen. At the end of the village of Neuenkirchen, turn right onto a field path toward Wehre. From Wehre, it continues to Weddingen and then past the Wöltingerode monastery toward Vienenburg. This route goes through the town, but alternatively can also be ridden along the Oker and Vienenburger Lake. Behind Vienenburg, we pass under the autobahn and turn left toward Schladen. Now, a short stretch on the country road, turning right at a parking lot. Attention, this access to the path along the railway line can be easily overlooked. The path (which may be a bit overgrown in summer) always runs alongside the railway line and Oker toward Schladen. From Schladen, it continues to Isingerode. Now a short stretch (about 150 m unfortunately without a bike path) on the federal road toward Hornburg, then turn left toward Steinfelder Mühle. Now the route leads through Börßum, along the Oker back to Kissenbrück. The route is suitable for trekking and mountain bikes.
