About This Route

A solid 75 mile ride featuring a nice little warm-up climb to Carter Lake (roughly 350 ft in 1 mile ~ 7%) and then flats down to Ute Hwy (66) at about 5200 ft, turn right and start a gradual climb to Lyons where the grade steadily increases. Sit in for a 20+ mile climb to Pole Hill Rd (high point) at just over 8,000 ft. Then it's pretty much all down-hill to Olypus Hts (East Estes area) and a long downhill cruise to Loveland...

Total elev. gain on this one is roughly 5,000 ft. Avg grade from Ute Hwy to High Point is only 2 to 3 % BUT over the 20 mile climb, the last 9 to 10 miles are a little more than 4%....
