La Naval-Via de la Orconera-Ciervana-Leioa

You ride the old route of the Orconera mining train that ran along the slopes of the mountains in the Trapaga valley until it ended at the ore loading dock located on the Nervion estuary in Lutxana. It starts in Retuerto, with a surface of stone, mixed with asphalt and concrete areas, reaching the battered tunnels that are still unprepared. Both have a curve inside; in the second, it is necessary to have lighting to cross it, since it is long and the curve does not allow seeing the exit as is the case with the first tunnel. Upon exiting this second tunnel, we connect with the "bidegorri" (red bike path) built taking advantage of this route, ending in the Orconera neighborhood. A route that recalls the mining splendor of the area during the industrial boom of the 18th, 19th and late 20th centuries.
