<p> </p><p><strong>Route Description</strong></p> <p>Bad Steben - Hölle - Höllental - Marxgrün - Naila - Schottenhammer - Culmitzhammer - Culmitz - Poppengrün - Döbrastöcken - Kleindöbra - Schwarzenbach - Lippertsgrün - Pechreuth - Thierbach - Marxgrün - Hölle - Bad Steben</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Route Details</strong></p> <p>We start in Bad Steben at the train station (Kurpark, Kurhaus, Wandelhalle), following the railway line towards Hölle (mineral spring, water adventure trail), passing the quarry/hardstone plant near the Höllental stop, via Marxgrün on the bike path following the Selbitztalradweg route to Naila (outdoor pool). Passing the city park to the station, then along Bahnhofstraße to Kronacher Straße into the Culmitz valley, on meadow and field paths via Schottenhammer to Culmitzhammer, through Culmitz, past an interesting geological outcrop, the route then steadily climbs with beautiful views over Bärenhaus. From Poppengrün to Döbrastöcken, from there to Kleindöbra (detour to Döbraberg), to the highest point (Elbe/Rhine watershed). The tour continues to Schwarzenbach a. Wald (indoor pool, leisure facilities, mountain bike center) through the town, along the B 173, passing Straßdorf, then on forest roads to Lippertsgrün, through the village on a ridge to Pechreuth (wildlife enclosure). From here, the route steadily descends along the forest path through the idyllic Froschbach valley to the hiking parking lot at Thierbach. From Thierbach (watch for traffic!) back to Marxgrün, via Hölle to Bad Steben at the train station (Kurpark, Kurhaus, Wandelhalle).</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Difficulty Level</strong></p> <p>A varied cycling tour through easy-to-ride valley floors and also more rolling terrain with climbs to the highest point of the route.
