Ocolul Potcoavei - ziua #2

On day 2a we will leave from Padina and climb (mostly pushing the bike) up to the Strunga saddle, from where we will do a short downhill to approximately 1600m, following the contour line fairly closely and sticking to the tourist trails (red band, blue triangle, red cross) until we reach towards Bran, where we will skirt the forest edge and enter DC101 which continues as a forest road and leads us towards Cabana Steaua near the Rasnov-Predeal road. If we hurry, we can get to Predeal quickly by road or, if time allows, via forest roads and hiking trails to Azuga, passing through 'La Clește'. The described route climbs to Diham (perhaps for a late meal?), Poiana Izvoarelor and descends to Gura Diham from where we finish in Busteni at the car.
