Ciclosaptamana turistica in Persani - ziua #4

On day 4, we will cover a longer distance while keeping elevation changes to a minimum. Starting from Homorod, we will pass the mud volcanoes in the area, ride through Hoghiz where there are old castles and a reformed church, Cuciulata (orthodox church), Comana de Sus (church), and the basalt columns at Piatra Cioplita. We will try to find a cave and cut through the forest, seeking out forest roads and trails to descend towards Venetia de Sus and Venetia de Jos (church from 1818), then on to Sercaia (historical monuments), before ending the day at Baile Persani with a short detour to Persani for the orthodox church. A relaxing bath will crown our cycling day.
