We started in Rheinstetten, heading south through the villages of Au, Elchesheim-Steinmauern-Plittersdorf-Ottersdorf to the Rhine Bridge in Wintersdorf. In Alsace through the charming villages of Beinheim-Kesseldorf-Hatten-Betschdorf-Surbourg-Gunsttett-Morsbronn to Merzwiller. Through Uttenhoffen and Gumbrechtshoffen you reach Zinswiller.</li> <li>A particular joy is the nature park in the Northern Vosges, following the stream Zinsel from Zinswiller, you ride through magnificent deciduous forests to Baerenthal. The stream widens towards Mouterhouse into idyllic fishing ponds. After Mouterhouse, before a left turn, there is a small sandstone chapel on the right side. Here, a small road leads us over the 430m high Hochkopf directly to Bitsche. Attention: At the junction by the chapel you will find no directional signs.</li> <li>The fortress of Bitsche overlooks the charming old town, here it is worthwhile to take a break in one of the cozy cafés. Tarte flambée straight from the wood-fired oven is almost a must.</li> <li>The return route via Sturzelbronn is acoustically accompanied by the military from the training area. Hilly through Obersteinnach - Lembach - Climbach, you will arrive in Wissembourg. A coffee in the old town is always worthwhile. The Lautertal cycle path or the country road through Schleithal - Salmbach-Niederlauterbach brings us back to the Rhine near Lauterbourg.
