Von Coburg auf den Ansberg

From Albertsplatz in Coburg, you can take the official bike path or the country road into the Itzgrund towards Kaltenbrunn.

From there, over the Eierberge with a great view down into the Main Valley. Then through the 'God's Garden' up to the destination, Ansberg. There stands the St. Vitus pilgrimage church, and notably, there are many beautiful old trees. It is a wonderful view and a great place to enjoy a packed meal.

The return route goes over the Banz Monastery and the Planet Path to Untersiemau. Then through side paths back to Coburg.

The route runs over asphalt and gravel. Technically it is also very manageable for inexperienced MTB riders. However, the fitness factor should not be underestimated, as there are steep climbs now and then!
