About This Route

circuit from Longtown clockwise up to Keilder and back via Hadrian's Wall - did it anti clockwise, glad I did. The section east from Gilsland to where the route turns north towards bellingham is very undulating, very exposed and very staright - i think it would be a grind against a headwind. SAs it was a fairly flew along. The Keilder area was absolutely alive with large groups of very fast motorbikers - v little car traffic though.
