Alternative for LIF 27 from Lichtenfels to Buch via Kösten and Schönsreuth

After leaving the city center over river Main turn left at traffic light on LIF 2 direction to Kösten. At first side street use bike lane on right side to Kösten. At the bank go straight ahead on Schloß-Banz-Straße through Kösten, including first uphill section to Schönleite. Turn right and at first intersection turn left. At next T-junction turn right and then downhill to Schönsreuth. (Beware of pedestrian traffic at “dog training field”!)

Go through Schönsreuth on Bucher Straße. After leaving the village, the route goes uphill through the forest until it reaches the bike lane along LIF 27 from Lichtenfels and Buch am Forst. At the T-junction turn left for the direction of Buch, Ober- and Untersiemau, and Coburg.
