Trasa A – Kolem přehradního jezera Lac de St. Croix (ver 1)

The region of the Verdon Natural Park includes the Valensole Plateau. This area, at an altitude of about 600 – 1000 m, is primarily known for lavender cultivation. Along the route, we will visit several charming villages such as Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, famous for its faïence pottery, Riez, or Montagnac, and admire the classic Provençal architecture with churches and houses made of sandstone with wooden shutters in the typical local colors - purple, green, or burgundy. We will visit the richly decorated interior of the chapel in Riez and enjoy the view from different angles of the reservoir Lac de St. Croix (about 10 km long), including several bridges that span it at the beginning and end. For the first time, we will also take a look into the gorges and the canyon formed by the Verdon River in the local sandstone.
