The route is scenically very beautiful! Mostly about 2 thirds are flat. The last stretch from Bietigheim to Freiberg, about 5 km, is a long ascent and particularly strenuous at the end. There are beautiful scenic areas, wonderful wide views, and various rest opportunities, garden eateries...

This tour is practically recommended all around. For children, there are occasionally short steep climbs and especially the last 5 km are demanding.
