Mountainbike zum Frühstück

Short and very beautiful route, preferably enjoyed by mountain bike (also suitable for cross bike). Beautiful view, and partly paths made for mountain bikers. Should be doable in one to one and a half hours. Ascent: 390 m, descent: 365 m.

From the Peppenkum fire station to Riesweiler. At the intersection, keep left. Shortly after leaving the village, turn right onto a dirt road towards the wind turbine and the chapel. Pass the chapel towards Ormersviller. At the intersection, keep left until the church, then turn right towards Volmunster. Shortly after leaving the village, turn left onto a dirt road towards the water tower. After a short but bumpy path with a rather stony descent, you will reach a straight path, passing by the Moulin d'Eschviller (Eschweiler Mill) towards Brenschelbach (train station). Turn right on the road and immediately left again, but not towards Hornbach, but up the small road into the residential area. There, behind the Pirminiusweg sign, follow a small forest path towards the field/viewpoint Vogesenblick. From there, continue right, and follow the dirt path to the left until it turns right into the forest (Pirminiusweg short route). Then through the forest towards Riesweiler, at the edge of the forest turn left (asphalted dirt road). Then turn left onto the "Mühlenweg", back to the starting point.
