The Schlei is Schleswig-Holstein's longest Baltic Sea fjord at 43 kilometers long.The region, made famous throughout Germany by the ZDF television series 'Der Landarzt', owes its tourist brand name to the body of water: Baltic Sea Fjord Schlei.The Schlei is the natural boundary between the landscapes of Angeln in the north and Schwansen in the south.At its narrowest point – the Missunder Enge – it measures only 135 meters; at its widest – the Große Breite – almost four kilometers.The landscape around the Baltic Sea fjord is characterized by gentle hills, lush green forests and meadows, picturesque villages, grand estates and romantic bathing bays.On the 26-kilometer SchleiUferTörn route, you will experience both: ride through charming Schlei villages and enjoy the view over the Schlei.
