Bicós 2013, Karcag, 2. nap: csúcstúra

This was a two-day tour. We traveled by bus to Kisköre, and the bicycles were transported by van. From there, we set out to conquer Istállós-kő (959 m). Unfortunately, we couldn't ride all the way to the top because the rough, branch-covered, stony path was impassable by bicycle. So we eventually reached the summit on foot. We camped overnight at the Szalajka camping ground. In terms of road conditions, it's quite pothole-ridden up to Füzesabony, but from there on there are decent roads, often of particularly good quality. The climbs begin after Eger. The summit ascent from the Szalajka valley is approximately 10 km to the junction. An ascent not suited for beginners.
