About This Route

A nice wee ride along the Forth and Clyde Canal as far as The Stables in Kirkintilloch. Mostly flat and along the towpath, there is a tiny amount of public road involved. Great for a summer evening, although the pub can get quite busy! The towpath is mostly paved, but there are stretches of not terribly pleasant gravel at the moment (June '09)...looks like they're half finished repair works, though, so that should be remedied soon.
