Binzen-Schofpheim-Schwörstadt-Rheinfelden(CH)-Basel(CH)-Binzen

Beautiful route through Wiesental to Schopfheim, relatively flat. In Schopfheim, there is a longer climb towards Dossenbach, which is rewarded on the other side with a nice descent down to Schwörstadt. From Schwörstadt, you can ride pretty much all along the Rhine towards Rheinfelden. Upon arrival, you can cross into Switzerland via the former stone bridge, which was allowed for cars. It's a nice spot for a little break in nice weather, especially on the small island on the Rhine. Once on the Swiss side, the path becomes flat again and follows well-paved roads towards Basel via Kaiseraugst and Schweizerhalle. Finally, it’s a comfortable ride back to Binzen from Basel through Weil am Rhein and Haltingen. The tour was undertaken on a basic mountain bike; some paths near the fields and Rhine were made of gravel, sand, etc. However, with a few adjustments, this tour can also be very nicely done with a road bike, just be sure to stay on the paved roads.
