Day 1: Welcome at Sofia airport. /  Transfer to Kardzhali (about 3 hours). Accommodation in Kardzhali. Rest and free time. Overnight.

Day 2:  Kardzhali - Perperikon Breakfast. Climb to the village of Rani List (7.5 km from Kardzhali), followed by a descent to Bolyartsi (7 km). Leave the bikes and visit the Roman road at Perperikon and the archaeological complex. The ancient and medieval city of Perperikon is one of the 100 national tourist objects of the Republic of Bulgaria. Return to Kardzhali. Free time and overnight. (Total distance for the day ~ 28 km) Day 3: Kardzhali - Stone Wedding Starts in Kardzhali – 5 km to the Stone Wedding (rock formations that began forming 40 million years ago due to underwater volcanic activity), relatively easy and flat terrain. Return the same way. Kardzhali – Moniak (fortress/ruin) - 10 km from Kardzhali. Picnic and rest, sightseeing and enjoying the incredible view. Back to Kardzhali, overnight. (Total of 30 km for the day) Day 4: Kardzhali - Tatul Kardzhali - Tatul (28 km route, relatively flat terrain with one climb of about 4 km). Rest in Tatul and visit the Thracian sanctuary near the village of Tatul. The sanctuary is a rock massif, whose peak is a truncated pyramid. It dates back to the end of the V and the beginning of the IV millennium B.C. The rock pyramid and the tombs around it were shaped between the 18th and 11th centuries B.C. According to historians, the sarcophagus, the truncated pyramid, and the lateral chamber illustrate the burials of Orpheus and the Thracian king Rezos. The necropolis is dated no later than the mid-13th century and marks the end of the centuries-old life of the hill near Tatul. Overnight in Tatul. Day 5: Tatul - Dzhabel - Zlatargrad Bike ride to Dzhabel (30 km). Lunch and rest. Visit to the protected areas „The Centenary Pines” and „The Wind Stone” (Local people believe that there is a magical force there that helps people heal from certain diseases). Return to Dzhabel and transfer to Zlatargrad. Overnight. Day 6: Zlatargrad - Dolén - Zlatargrad Breakfast. Bike ride to Dolén. Walk and explore the village. Heir to ancient Thracian neighborhoods, whose remains can still be seen around the village. The hills are dotted with Thracian necropolises. Also preserved are the Thracian vineyards used until the end of the Bulgarian Renaissance. Rest. Return to Zlatargrad. Free time and overnight in Zlatargrad. Day 7: Zlatargrad - Sofia Breakfast. Visit to the „Ethnographic Area Complex”. The ethnographic area complex in Zlatargrad is a large open-air museum that shows us what the city looked like over 100 years ago. Includes a tour of the museum, artisan workshops (tailoring, weaving, shoemaking, etc.). Also interesting is the „Vuntsov Mill” (the three waterworks that are still operating today - fulling mill, washing mill, and mill). Break for twisting coffee, prepared on hot sand and served with a special ritual. Departure for Sofia.
