Eckenhagen - Restaurant auf dem Damm des Biggestausees

<p>Starting from Blockhaus, the route begins with a rapid descent to Tilkhausen and Husten. Then it continues moderately downhill to Olpe. Up to the Biggedamm, there are only two minor climbs alongside the lake, making it a rather relaxed tour in terms of elevation gain. The way back is significantly tougher, especially at the end, when one has to climb the 500 m back to Blockhaus. The restaurant at Biggedamm is a nice rest stop at the halfway point before starting the return trip. Those wishing to circumnavigate the Biggesee can do so from there as well. However, I do not recommend the route along the north side of the lake, as you have to ride along a busy federal road without enjoying much of the lake. Therefore, the more scenic return route by bike is the one you came in on, along the south side of the lake. Since the entire route, except for a small approximately 400 m section near Eichen, is paved, it is overall a good route for road bikes.</p>
