Apartaderos - Pico El Aguila Mérida

A ride through tourist areas of Mérida such as Pico El Águila, Laguna Mucubají, Sierra de la Culata (the condors' paradise) with a large influx of tourists from many parts of the country. The route is mostly on vehicular transit roads but crosses some horse trails used by local inhabitants. It is advisable to dress appropriately for the cold and maintain a slow pedalling cadence, as the lack of oxygen is due to the altitude. Therefore, it is recommended to do some rides in the area a few days beforehand to acclimate the body and thus enjoy this wonderful ride without any setbacks.
