Route to Rigi

Early in the morning at 02:01 we set off, our goal is to see the sunrise at Kulm. Along the lake from Meierskappel towards Arth, we make a brief stop at the Bernerhöhe before getting started. With good light, we quickly reach Fruttli where we make another short break. Continuing to Klösterli and steeply up on a good road to the Staffel. The Kulm is within reach but demands everything again. At the top, many photographers and hikers are already there, the sun slowly emerges, beautiful to see at cool temperatures.  Now comes the best part, the descent to Chänzeli and to Räbalp where we have reserved for a Rösti breakfast. A great descent follows to Alpenhof where we ride back to Rotkreuz via Küssnacht, Fänn, Meierskappel.
