St Mary's RC cathedral down to Holyrood Palace and the Scottish parliament,  into Hollyrood Park and over Arthur's Seat, then along the former Innocent Railway past Duddingston Loch to Niddrie, then up to Craigmillar Castle. Short downhill walk to Old Dalkeith Road, beside new Royal Infirmary, and back to central Edinburgh.
