Morbano

A rather long and moderately challenging ride on the east side of the Simbruini. A good portion of the elevation gain is on asphalt, although there are also climbs on loose stones and short steep sections that require effort. The ride starts at the fountain of Camerata Nuova and continues on asphalt until passing Pereto and heading towards Monte Morbano. At km 13 the gravel road begins, and after about 3 km you leave the track that continues towards Morbano to turn left towards the meadows of Campocatino, then pass along the Marsia side and continue, with ups and downs between the classic meadows and unspoiled forests of the Simbruini, towards the gravel road of Camporotondo, which taken to the right brings us downhill towards the new 'superstrada' of Fosso Fioio. From there, in a short time and at good speed, you return to the fountain of Camerata. Around km 26 stones and mud force you to push the bike for about 1 km.
