Route 04: Wieck - Weststrand II - Prerow und zurück

At the Ellernweg/Bauernreihe junction, turn right to the corner of Kielstraße, then turn right here and proceed straight on along Kargweg to Prerower Straße, then turn right again to Bäderstraße and go 200 m to the forest edge towards Prerow.

At the forest edge, turn left onto the forest path and then immediately veer half-right into the woods. Now go straight on for 3.5 km to the 'g-Gestell', then turn right and continue 2 km to the Langerseerweg junction. Halfway along, a side path about 200 m long branches off to the left towards Große Buchhorster Maase. Guided wildlife observations take place here in autumn here. Turn left onto Langenseerweg and then ride 3.3 km on a beautiful route through the Darß primeval forest to Weststrand. There are bike parking facilities in front of the dunes. From here, you can return the same way. Those who want to continue push their bikes 150 m through the dunes to the beach. The sand near the waterline is very firm and therefore easy to cycle on with calm water. Ride 2 km north along the beach to the junction with Mittelweg. Then push your bike back 150 m through the dunes into the Darß forest and then continue straight ahead for 4.5 km on a good path to Prerow. There are many places to stop and eat here (e.g. Teeschale – see Route 1). Follow the main road through the village eastwards; shortly after the right-hand bend turn left into Heinestraße up to the Binnendeich, then on the dike turn right to Bäderstraße, cross it and then immediately turn right again following the signposted cycle path through the Schwinkelsche Moor back to Wieck.
