Monfragüe, La Portilla de Trasierra

This route runs through Monfragüe National Park and its surroundings, ensuring the stunning beauty of the landscapes.

Starting from Villareal de San Carlos, we reach Portilla de Trasierra, passing both ways through Serradilla and returning again to Villareal, after a route of just over 42 km, of which 10.5 km are beautiful and fun trails, very technical and twisty, where more than once you have to put a foot down. The rest of the route goes along various dirt tracks without touching asphalt at any point.

The layout is very fun and varied, perfect for enjoying mountain biking, with very technical trails, steep descents, creek crossings, and climbs with tough pitches, where sometimes carrying the bike will be necessary.

Although it is not a very long route nor with great accumulated elevation, I warn that it is not a beginner or casual ride; a certain level and skill are necessary, otherwise it could be tough and dangerous.
