Rundfahrt um die Hohe Salve

You can start this tour from Brixen, Kirchberg, and Westendorf! We describe the tour starting from Brixen im Thale. The route around the Hohe Salve is not the shortest, but it is mostly very flat, and almost the entire route is traversed by beautiful bike paths. Therefore, this tour is also ideal for a family bike outing. At the start, we are on the Brixental bike path and cycle on an asphalt path to Kirchberg. Here we pass through the town and soon return to the bike path heading towards Kitzbühel. At the golf course by Schwarzsee, the path turns left and leads us to Reith, from where we have to cover a short stretch on the main road up to the Reinache inn. From here, we take a bike path to Stanglwirt, from where a forest road takes us to the town of Going. Here, there is a short climb up to the municipality of Ellmau. Always along the bike path, we pass Scheffau and arrive at Söll. Through the underpass of the federal road, we enter the town center of Söll. After a few kilometers, we then have to cross the federal road and reach the small village of Itter via a short ascent. After the descent, we have to travel a few meters to the right to get back onto the Brixental bike path. This leads us back to Brixen via Hopfgarten, the Windau, and Westendorf.
