Harzquerung für Genießer

The tour starts in Wernigerode. With the Harzquerbahn, you reach the station Eisfelder Talmühle (about 2 hours of travel, highly recommended). Then to Ilfeld either on an unpaved bike path or parallel on the federal road. From Ilfeld to Rottleberode on a quiet country road with great views of mountains, castle ruins, and villages, alternatively along the HARZ bike path. From Stolberg through the beautiful Ludetal (gravel path) with moderate ascent to Breitenstein. Here on hiking paths to Güntersberge. Further on country roads over Allrode down to Bodetal to Treseburg. After a short ascent, it rapidly descends to Blankenburg. From here you can follow the R1, which follows the northern Harz edge to Wernigerode.
