MTB-Tour "Vulkane und Lava"

The starting point of the tour is the parking lot above Tinguaton on the LZ 56. At the end of the road, the moderate ascent to the 456 m high Rodeos begins, which ends in a steep climb to the summit. The effort is worth it, the panoramic view is overwhelming. At the foot of the Rodeos, we cross a lava field, cross the LZ 56, and circle around the Montana Negra. Through vineyards, we reach La Florida, a visit to the oldest winery in Lanzarote, 'El Grifo', with an integrated wine museum on the LZ 30 is worthwhile. Returning to La Florida, we pass through another lava field and vineyards. The tour passes by a walkable cave in the lava stone followed by a circumnavigation of the two volcanoes Colorada and Caldera Colorada. Information panels along the way inform about the different forms of volcanism in this area. The 50-ton stone bomb from the Caldera Colorada is impossible to overlook (see picture).

Note: The ride through the different lava fields requires increased attention and a safe riding technique.
