Schaalsee-Rundtour im Biosphärenreservat Schaalsee

The Schaalsee circular route takes you through the European bird sanctuary, once around the Schaalsee. This, with its 24 km², is the largest lake in the protected area and, at a maximum depth of 71 m, it is also the deepest lake in northern Germany. The biosphere reserve is characterized by numerous lakes, small bodies of water, and wetlands. While circling the lake, you will repeatedly have the opportunity to enjoy impressive views of the lake. Numerous swimming areas invite you to rest and linger. The ride takes you through forests and meadows, along fruit tree avenues and country lanes, through beautiful villages and small towns.
