Piechowice-Wodospad Szklarki-Wodospad Kamieńczyka-Szklarska Poręba-Góry Izerskie-Zakręt Śmierci-Szklarska Poręba

Approximate length 35 km, elevation gain about 670 m, planned time about 5 hours. Generally a trip for good bikers.

Before the bridge over the Kamienna river, following the blue trail, we turn left (uphill). Initially a grassy path, then a forest road (3), with the river always on the right side. The route is varied with often fallen tree trunks and streams, reaching the Kochanówka shelter by the Szklarki waterfall (approx. 10 m height). From here, after a possible rest, we continue along the same trail. The road becomes increasingly difficult (up to 4). After passing the bridge over the Szrenicki stream called the Czech Footbridge, the hardest uphill climb so far awaits us (4), after which the trail crosses a wider forest road. We ride right on it towards the visible Szrenica peak overhead (2) and after about 700 meters we meet the yellow trail (our next guide). After another 700-800 m, we leave the trail turning left. Riding through the forest (2+) we pass the Szrenica chairlift and the ski slopes Puchatek and Lolobrygida. After about 1 km descent, we meet the red trail. We go left and uphill (4) on a rocky surface. We reach the Kamieńczyk waterfall (the highest in the Polish Karkonosze). From there we go down a 'pseudo-asphalt' road (1) to the road from Jakuszyce to Jelenia Góra. We keep going down. After passing the bridge over Kamienna, we turn left, then immediately right and uphill on the black trail into the forest. Now a steep climb awaits us, several hundred meters along a forest path... Then we come out to the White Valley. We meet the blue trail and take it left (3+). We start a long (about 3 km) climb on a fairly good quality road towards the Izerskie Mountains. We reach the Crossroads below Zwaliskiem (1005 m above sea level). Here we find the red trail, which we follow eastward. On a very difficult (4), swampy, and root-strewn path, we reach Wysoki Kamień (1058 m above sea level), the highest point of the entire trip. Here we 'transfer' to the yellow trail. We start the descent through the forest on a rocky trail that ends at the road from Szklarska Poręba to Świeradów Zdrój. We are near the death curve (over 180 degrees).
