The Biber-Burgen-Tour is the first cycling route in the region offering a Pocket PC as a guest guide. Starting from Lenzen Castle or the tourist information center in Gartow, where you can rent your individual 'Ranger' (rental fee €9.00 per device plus a deposit of €150.00 or ID card), you can explore on an approximately 45-kilometer circular route one of the most beautiful sections of the Elbe River Biosphere Reserve. Twice you will cross the great river by ferry and will be safely guided to 30 experience stations along the route with the help of the navigation system. Through spoken commentary you learn interesting facts about the Gartow Lake or the impressive floodplain forest 'Elbholz', you can at the 'push of a button' call up pictures of typical plants and animals of the region and learn, for example, the call of the white-tailed eagle via audio playback. A special puzzle fun for children makes the tour an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
