The Biber-Burgen-Tour is the first cycling route in the region to offer a Pocket-PC as a guest guide. Starting from Lenzen Castle or the tourist information centre in Gartow, where you can rent your individual 'Ranger' (rental fee 9.00 € per device plus a deposit of €150.00 or ID card), you explore a roughly 45-kilometre circular route through one of the most beautiful sections of the Biosphere Reserve Elbe River Landscape. Twice, you cross the large river by ferry and are safely guided by the navigation system to 30 experience stations along the route. An audio commentary provides interesting information about, for example, the Gartow Lake or the impressive floodplain forest 'Elbholz'; you can also access pictures of typical plants and animals of the region at the push of a button and learn the call of the sea eagle by audio playback. A special quiz game for children makes the tour an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
