Petőfi Memorial Route

On this route, we visit the legendary grave of Petőfi in the Timafalva cemetery, Petőfi's statue in the main square of Székelykeresztúr, the Petőfi pear tree in the courtyard of the Gyárfás mansion, then passing through Alsóboldogfalva and Újszékely, we arrive at Héjjasfalva. Here stands the memorial column erected in honor of Domokos Zeyk. Continuing towards Segesvár, we reach the Ispán well in Fehéregyháza, where a stone relief stands at the presumed place of Sándor Petőfi's death. In Fehéregyháza, you will find the memorial house - the Petőfi Museum - and the 10-meter high monument featuring the Turul bird.

The road between Héjjasfalva and Fehéregyháza is very busy (national road E60). The risk level is high. Be careful if you cycle here!
