Fahrt zu Ocean Basis & Nord-Ostsee-Kanal

This bike tour partly goes through the city of Kiel, through parks, along the harbor promenade 'Kiellinie', past the Kiel Yacht Club, up to the smallest ferry in Germany that takes cyclists across the Kiel Canal. From there, it continues past the canal locks to Thiesenkai. There, some old traditional sailing ships are moored, there is a café, the company Ocean Well (which produces the natural cosmetics of Birke Spa), a beautiful historic lighthouse, and the algae farm can be seen from there. After a break, the route goes back from Thiesenkai to the hotel. Along roads, partly through avenues past estates, over the historic bridge of the Kiel Canal through a residential area and a forested area back to the hotel.
