Turul României, Turul Bucuriei

The Turul of Romania, Turul Bucuriei is essentially a non-competitive tour - the goal itself is the journey and sharing joy. The distance covered will be over 2500 km in 32 days, and we will pass through more than 50 cities. Aside from the journey from Rădăuţi to Vama Veche and back, we will distribute informational materials regarding: health and cycling, encouraging cycle tourism and cyclists' safety, living food, and the importance of Romanian culture in the colorful ocean of human diversity. In every city or village, we will take short breaks, go for walks, visit local tourist attractions, and engage in discussions with people and the media. In the cities: Cluj, Timişoara, Sibiu, Bucharest, Vama Veche, and Iaşi, we will stop for one day to distribute informational materials and chat with people. Accommodation will be in hammocks, tents, with locals from the areas where we will stop, or through Couchsurfing. (couchsurfing.org). More details coming soon on the tour page.
