Angern rund um den Hochleithenwald

In Angern, the ride starts towards Ollersdorf, then over a short climb towards Ebentahl. From Ebenthal, back up a short climb to Velm/Götzendorf. Now it goes relatively flat until Obersulz. In Obersulz, turn right over a small hill towards Blumentahl/Gaiselberg, then veer towards Schrick. In Schrick, parallel to the B7, there is another small climb towards Martinsdorf. Be cautious on the descent to Martinsdorf, there are potholes, poorly paved road and in the last part, it can get fast. From Martinsdorf, it is a constant up and down through Hohenruppersdorf until the intersection (Freiland) towards Matzen, shortly after there is a climb followed by a quick descent into Matzen, brake in time as it turns immediately to the right up a short climb to Schweinbarth. Briefly along the B220 then towards Auersthal, rolling terrain and poor asphalt, watch out in wet conditions. Once in Auersthal, it can get fast again! Continue along Bockfließerstraße and at the end of the village towards Reyersdorf, again briefly on the B220 until just past the municipal office where it heads towards Prottes. From Prottes, either directly or via Ollersdorf (3 km more) back to Angern. A bit of fitness and strength is necessary to complete this tour in a reasonable time. Good ride with low traffic. Watch out in wet conditions and be cautious of wildlife crossings in wooded areas!
