Hike to the reservoir

Walk along the campgrounds heading northeast. At the first opportunity after about 1 km, turn left towards north/Sonneborn. In Sonneborn, initially walk right along Kirchgasse, then turn left onto Gothaer Straße. At the end of the street, turn right towards Eberstädt. Walk almost completely through Eberstädt (Vordorf) and shortly before the end of the village, turn left onto Wangenheimer Weg. Continue along this path, pass the first intersection straight ahead. At the second intersection, turn right towards Wangenheim. Before the town of Wangenheim, the street 'Zum Wangenheimer See' branches off to the left. Follow this street, at the end turn right and continue to the campsite.
