Feldberg Tour
A cycling route starting in Hinterzarten, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany.
Overview
About this route
We start our tour at the train station in Altglashütten and follow the Fesersteg to Falkau and then towards Rotkreuz/Saig. Upon arriving at the hiking parking lot Rotkreuz, we follow the signs to Titisee steeply down to Seehof. Here we have the opportunity for a detour to the famous Seestraße with many dining options.
The path continues along the shore of Lake Titisee to the Bankenhof campsite. We follow the road, passing the Löffelschmiede up to the junction, then turn right onto the old Feldbergstraße through the picturesque Seebachtal valley to the hiking parking lot Kunzenmoos. From there, we turn left past the barrier along the Seebach stream to the mystical Feldsee.
Then we ride back to the Raimartihof inn, the oldest inn in Baden-Württemberg, where we should take the opportunity for a short break. From here, it’s pleasantly flat to Rufenholzplatz, and then onward along the famous long-distance cross-country ski trail uphill to Rinken. After the elevation-gaining climb, we take a small hut tour past the Zastler, St. Wilhelmer, and Todtnauer huts.
Our tour continues along the Feldberg to the Grüblesattel junction, where we can either pedal hard once more and make a detour to the Seebuck or choose the easier, energy-saving route directly to the House of Nature. Upon arrival at the House of Nature, we follow the Eberlinweg, passing the Feldberg church 'Verklärung Christi' to the ski bridge. There we cross the road and follow the path to the Caritas House. To the right, the Hochkopfweg leads to Farnwitte and then on the Silberfelsenweg to the Äulemer Cross.
We cross the road and ride along the Roßhüttenweg past the Roßhütte and Lachenhütte. We follow the Oberkrummenweg and Muchelanderweg to the Unterkrummen inn. The Unterkrummenhof lies on the shore of the Schluchsee and invites for a hearty snack. Along the shore of the largest Black Forest lake, we ride to Aha and from there, after the railway underpass, turn left past the picturesque Windgfällweiher back to Altglashütten.
