Wörgl - Rom 7. Etappe

From Lake Bolsena, first flat following the lake along the Via Cassia until the road begins to rise slightly and finally steeply climbs to Montefiascone. However, on the back side, there is a fantastic descent into the valley and with slight ups and downs until reaching the large district city of Viterbo. At this point, the signs to Rome can already be seen. Here we follow the SR2 all the way to Gabelletta at Lake Monterosi. From here it gets really exciting, as the SR2 suddenly becomes 4 lanes, but it's obvious that you can ride a bike on the shoulder. However, this route is not recommended. Additionally, there are quite long and consistent climbs here that seemingly never end. Before Labaro, I leave the SR2 and turn onto Via della Giustiana. Here it rises slightly again over a small ridge until Prima Porta and from here continues along Via Tiberina to the Tiber campsite on the outskirts of Rome.
