Z Rokytky na Letnou

Ride around the Troja Canal via Stromovka to Letná.

We start as usual from the Rokytka fitness meadow, follow the cycle path through Podviní, descend along the Rokytka to Rohanský Island. Here, along the Vltava through a chestnut avenue we reach the Troja Canal. After a drink and watching brave kayakers, we arrive at the bridge at Troja Castle, cross to the other side, cross Cískařský Island to Stromovka. If we don’t want to linger, we bypass Stromovka on the right along Malé říčka, then turn left along the park, and then turn into Gotthardská Street. We ride to the large intersection crossing Milada Horáková into Letná Park. Along the way there’s a nice viewpoint, we pass under Stalin and arrive at the garden restaurant at the Letná chateau. Here we refresh ourselves and enjoy the view of the Old Town. Then we descend through the park, pass Expo 58 and arrive at Kapitán Jaroš embankment, entering under Hlávkův Bridge past homeless river apartments along the river and over Libeň Bridge to Rohanský Island. We descend to the cycle path at the driving range and after a while along the dam, cross the access road and return back.
