About This Route

The climb starts gently but gets steeper the higher you go. On the way up you pass the Convento di San Liberato and a short diversion takes you to Eremo Soffiano. Magnificent views throughout the climb. In spring and early summer a wonderful display of wild flowers at the top. The entire route is asphalt apart from the bit between Pintura di Ragnolo and Monastero, which is gravel and the road to and from CC to the SS78. All these roads were in good condition in summer 2014.
