About this route
The Car-Free Day started as an initiative to discourage car use, recognizing that widespread car use causes harm to the environment and the livability of cities. On this day, citizens are called upon to leave their cars behind for a day and try new modes of transportation.
We invite you to take part on this day by going to work, school or wherever you need by bike, on foot or by public transport. At the end of the day at 8pm, celebrate with a classic Ciclonoche at Plaza de la Juventud. Invite your family, friends and work colleagues to experience the city from a different, more human perspective.
