Starting from Caldarola, head towards the hamlet of Collarsone, then pass through the fractions Valle Tribbio di Montalto and proceed towards the villa of Montalto, in the municipality of Cessapalombo.

Once you reach the villa, the tough part of this ride begins—5 truly hard kilometers with sections for real climbers, but at the summit, enjoy the panorama that you may not have fully appreciated on the ascent.

The terrain is not rugged, but certainly staying in the saddle until the summit requires trained legs and hearts.

Upon reaching the side of Monte Fiegni, there are some short steep sections, but most of the hardest is done and nothing compared to what you've already done.

All that remains is to enjoy a stretch of the Sentiero delle Raje, then the Sentiero del Tesoro, and finally the Sentiero de Magistris, all in sequence, bringing you back to the Caldarola cemetery, from where you can return to base in 5 minutes.

Without a doubt, the climb of Monte Petrella is the toughest ascent around here.
