Žatec-Kadaň-Perštejn Lužný

The route to Kadaň has already been described. Nothing difficult, a comfortable ride. From there, via Klášterec nad Ohří to Perštejn Lužný. The climb in Kadaň is quite long and steeper. A break before this is recommended. Then just flat terrain until Klášterec. From Klášterec, you ride again into a gentler, more extended climb. A pause before this effort may be useful. It depends on you. Then a pleasant descent on flat terrain until the finish. I recommend visiting Perštejn. Every year, there is the «Řezáčovo léto» – a volleyball sports event – either before or after arrival. It is another point for a break – swimming area, refreshments. Also, you can go uphill on the main road, a bigger climb, and reach the hairpins within sights of the wind farm, etc. That is another story. Perštejn Lužný is interesting with the rocks along the river. Beautiful. The path along the river is for mountain or trekking bikes. The small road can be taken. A pleasant rest in this locality. The bike can be locked under the rocks. Kayakers and climbers are a daily routine in summer. There is also a pub, «Slunce». Also a train station. That’s probably all. Have a safe journey without flats on your bike or body.
