Unna Lünern zum Golfplatz Hamm und über Bönen zurück

The circular route leads via country lanes to Lenningsen, along the old railway line to Gut Kump, then past the Hamm golf course to Bönen. Here we cycle on the new bike path along the Kuhbach stream to the Seseke cycle path. We follow this cycle path, newly opened in 2013, to Heeren Werve and from there back to Lünern.

RUHR AREA: CYCLING TOUR

The starting point of the tour is the village of Lünern, an eastern district of Unna. Worth seeing here is the listed church. The entrance area of the church is open daily. Through a glass door you can see inside, the gilded carved altar and the wood-carved pulpit. From Lünern we ride to Lenningsen. Worth seeing here is the old station from 1901. The station became nationally known in 1965 because Queen Elizabeth II stayed here overnight. Also worth seeing is the entire village, which has been spruced up as part of the "our village should become more beautiful" competition. The tour continues to Gut Kump. Today a destination with gastronomy, a hotel with a bridal suite and conference rooms. We continue to the Hamm golf course. We pass Hof Steinen and ride across the golf course along several holes. In Bönen we ride or walk through the pedestrian zone. Bönen is shaped by the former colliery, prominently visible is the old winding tower. At the height of the traditional Timmering inn we enter Zechenstrasse with old colliery houses. After 80 meters we turn right into the newly created bike path along the Kuhbach. We follow the bike path to the also newly opened Seseke cycle path in 2013. We follow this to Heeren Werve and from there return to Lünern.
