Experience the landscape, discover the culture. The Probstei offers variety. Along the Cultural Route, there are seven museums, monuments, and attractions along the route. At the 85 m high Marine Memorial in Laboe, the international memorial for sailors, you can begin your own individual tour. The entire route is also passable in segments. And it offers something for every taste: for example, the 'Kultur-Kneipe' Lutterbeker with art, music, and theater. The Krokauer Windmill built in 1872. Or the museum train station Schönberger Strand, from which steam locomotives regularly depart for excursions. If you like, you can visit the nearby Probstei Museum and learn how people in the region lived 200 years ago. Also, the Childhood Museum offers something historically interesting: it shows how differently children grew up between 1890 and today. Also noteworthy is Hagen Castle (est. 1649) in Probsteierhagen with the historical path. For those who want to cycle further, Salzau Castle is the destination. The 57.6 km long Cultural Route extends in its entirety from Laboe through Schönberg, Salzau, and Probsteierhagen back to the starting point. Cyclists will find their way well on the flat route.
